Derbyshire Masonry & Reclamation
Edge Designs created this simple easy to use website for a local stone company and within weeks it had paid for itself in new business.
We understand that most small businesses simply want someone they can trust to sort their website out.
We know this because we listen to what our small business clients tell us. Whether you know what you want or not we can help you right from the start, for as long as you want.

We start every project by asking lots of questions, we need to understand your business, your strategy, your reasons for wanting a website etc. (download our project questionnaire to help you think of the answers in advance) .
Once we are both clear on what it is you want us to do we write up a detailed project scope which details exactly what we will be doing and what you will receive.
We include with this a written quote for the services detailed in the project scope. Depending on the size of the project we ask for a certain percentage (%) of the total price up front.
Once we have received signed acceptance of the scope and quote as well as the percentage of the cost we asked for upfront we begin to design the website.
During this process we work closely with you to produce a complete design that you are happy with.
Once we are both happy with the completed design we normally ask for a milestone payment before we move on to the next stage. With this payment we also require written acceptance of the finalised design.
Once we have received signed acceptance of the finalised design and the milestone payment. We will begin to build your website, this is also the time that we will set up your domain name and email etc.
During this process you will be able to review progress of the site at a special url which we will provide you with.
We will most probably need most, if not all of the content (writing, images, etc.) at this point so that we can include it in the website.
Once we are both happy that the website achieves everything detailed in the project scope we will finalise the build and move onto testing, again before we move on we require written confirmation that you agree that the website meets the scope. Depending on the size of the project we may require a milestone payment here as well.
Once we have received signed acceptance of the finalised build and if required, milestone payment. We will move into the final testing phase.
We extensively test the website in all popular browser/OS configurations to make sure that it works flawlessly, we also test the website using mobile devices.
Once we are both happy that everything is working as it should we end development on the website. At this point we require the final payment on account before we transfer the website to your control.
Once we have received the final payment we will turn everything on, we’ll make sure everything is working as it should and we’ll send you written confirmation transferring copyright and ownership of the website to you.
Pricing websites is a difficult beast, simply because websites are such an individualised thing, every website is different and every website requires a different amount of work. Some clients want us to do everything whilst others do lots themselves. Anyway whilst we don’t give quotes without a detailed scope we can give estimates, these are based on previous work and experience.
If you want us to give you an estimate on a project then give us a call, to give you an idea, our most popular small business brochure style websites typically cost around £1000, hosting and basic support is combined and billed monthly at £45.
